Corrine Weber

Corrine “Corky” Weber of rural Madison, died Friday, November 18,2016 at her  home at the age of 79.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Garfield Lutheran Church in rural Madison with Pastor Bruce Bringle  officiating.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held Friday, November 25, 2016 from 5-7PM at Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson.

Corrine “Corky” Weber was born on August 17, 1937 in Appleton to Obert and Gudren (Holm) Lien.  She grew up in the Appleton and Louisberg area and attended school in Appleton.  She married Harvey Weber on August 26, 1961.  They had five children together.  Corrine worked in a variety of jobs including Sterns Manufacturing, Dawson Knitting, and Headstart in Madison.  She  also worked as a nursing assistant at Johnson Memorial Care Center from 1983 until her retirement in 2008.

Corrine was a long time member of Garfield Lutheran Church and was a member of the Ladies Aid at the church.  She really loved spending time with her family and friends.  Grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very important to her.  Her family will remember her love of country music, especially Johnny Cash and her enjoyment of watching NASCAR on TV.  Her favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Corrine is survived by her husband, Harvey; her children: Cindy (Jay) Lessman, Lamberton, MN, Janelle Kelty, Madison, MN, Sharla (Duane) Kruger of Dawson, MN, Kevin (Jodi) Weber, Madison, MN and Michelle (Jeff) Sheldon of Cohasset, MN; 7 grandchildren: Stacy (Dan) Larsen, Amber (Brady) Morton, Brandon (Lexi) Weber, Jenna (friend Travis) Weber, John (Holli) Kelty, Amy Sheldon, and Adrienne (Brady) Sheldon; 6 great-grandchildren: Timothy, Theodore, Huxley, Jakobi, Kole and Otto; brothers: Iver (Dorla) Lien, Harry Lien, Roger (Marlys) Lien; sister, Gladys Labraaten; brothers-in-law: Curtis (Carol) Weber, Doug Weber, Arnold Weber, and Warren Schlieman; sisters-in-law: Mildred Evans and Rosalind Weber; as well as other extended family and friends.

Corrine was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Selma Schlieman; 5 sisters and brothers in infancy; her parents-in-law: John and Lena Weber; and  brothers and sisters- in-law: Colleen Lien,  Lester and Rose Weber, Roger Weber, and Richard Evans.
