Don..You ment the world to Bryan and I....You and your bride "adopted" us as your grandchildren.... I am so glad you both came into our lives...I am glad you and Alice decided to haul meals for prairie five 10 years ago..These 10 years have been wonderful with both of you...Thanks for including us in your birthday and anniversary parties...I also remember how important to you it was to wear red on fridays for your 2 sons and Linda Bunns son as they were in the military... I recall as you would haul meals you would check to make sure us girls in the kitchen had our red on...I know for sure since about 2009 I have faithfully wore my red...I didn't want you giving me heck for not having it on....๐๐.Red Fridays I will think of you...Also I remember how important it was to you to get the military pictures up in the windows at the community center...I am going to miss you "grandpa Don"...You have such a wonderful family who loves you and will keep good care of your bride....Thank you for all the memories...WE LOVE YOU and WILL MISS YOU !!!!!!

I am so gonna miss his stories that he would remind me of my childhood on grandmas farm! Especially how I would run up to his old car and how he liked how I got so excited when he would pull up! I'm gonna miss his hugs every time I saw him, all the way up to the biggest hug he gave me at my grandmas funeral as I cried on his shoulder! He always admired me!

Another one gone from that great class of 48'. If I remember right at one of their last class reunions only my Dad and Donald showed up. I know they had a good time anyway.
Whether you saw him or not, if Donald saw you he was going to come over and say hi. He always had a genuine way of being interested in what you were doing. Always quick to tell you what his family was up to. That's a good thing. RIP Donald.

Don was an important person in my life for many years. Don gave me some good advise those years. We lived many miles apart and enjoyed our visits. He shares a birthday with his grandson Dylan Perkins, January 12th, we always had an extra candle on Dylan's birthday cake to celebrate with Grandpa Don. I think Don will now be swiping desserts and fixing tractors with his Dad, Paul. He will be remembered each January 12!
