Dorothy (Linde) Myers

Dorothy Myers died Sunday, December 15, 2019 at the Johnson Memorial Care Center in Dawson at the age of 87.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson.

Dorothy Mae (Linde) Myers was born December 26, 1931 in Garfield Township, Lac qui Parle County, MN the daughter of Clarence and Mamie (Engebretson) Linde.  She was baptized and confirmed at Garfield Lutheran Church and she attended rural schools. She worked as a nanny in Dawson.  Dorothy was united in marriage with Virgil Myers September 1, 1951 at her parents home.  They made their home in Dawson.  She worked at the bakery with her husband for many years.  Virgil died in 1981.  She then worked in housekeeping and laundry at the hospital and nursing home for over 20 years.  She enjoyed crocheting and word searches.  Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children:  Douglas Myers of Montevideo, David (Belinda) Myers of Dawson, and Debra (Jim) Gebur of Dawson; five grandchildren: Shane Myers, Jesse (Jen) Myers, Jennifer Myers, Melissa (Joe Cecko) Dehne, and Aaron Gebur; great-grandchildren: Abby, Megan, Ethan, Mitchell, Gage, Cameron, Logan and Jack; great-great-granddaughter, Penelope; a brother, Donald (Hilde) Linde of Citrus Hills, CA; a sister-in-law, Lois Linde of Madison; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Virgil; daughter-in-law, Susan Myers; and two brothers: Clifton Linde and Gerald Linde.
