Janet Mary (Lundquist) Hall was born in Newton, IA on March 30, 1942 to John and Barbara (Swenson) Lundquist.  Her father enlisted in the military during WW II and the family moved several times.  At times Jan enjoyed living for short periods with her grandmother Bertha Swenson in Dawson, MN, and for a short period with her Aunt Hazel and Uncle Roger.  Eventually they settled in Richfield, MN, where she graduated from Richfield High School in 1960.  Jan was united in marriage with Douglas Hall in 1963 and there were three children born to this union.  Jan held a wide variety of interesting positions over the years, spending many years as property manager for several apartment complexes.  She moved to Dawson, MN about 10 years ago.  Jan enjoyed reading and was a life-long learner.  She enjoyed people, loved her family and her wonderful friends, and was very active at the Presbyterian Church.  Jan truly loved Dawson and its people.

She is survived by three children: Lisa (Dan) Swenson of Brooklyn Park, MN, Ann Mattson of Minneapolis, MN, and Tom (Laurie) Hall of Valley Center, CA; five grandchildren: Benjamin Swenson, Michael Swenson, Calvin Mattson, Kyle Hall and Carole Hall; three brothers: Bill Lundquist of Dawson, MN, Tom (Tammy) Lundquist of Rice Lake, WI, and Michael (Lisa) Lundquist of West Orange, NJ; two aunts: Effie (John) Deno and Virginia Sperry, of Dawson, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
