Jeanette Jordahl, of Alexandria (formerly of Dawson), died Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Knute Nelson Care Center in Alexandria at the age of 94.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson.  Pastor Kendall Stelter and Pastor Brooke Apple will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held for one hour before the services at the church.  Arrangements are with Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson.

Jeanette Bernice (Moseng) Jordahl was born September 19, 1921 at Montevideo, MN the daughter of Gilbert and Christine (Morseth) Moseng.  She attended rural school and school in Montevideo.  She was confirmed at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Baxter.  On November 25, 1939, she was united in marriage with Carl Jordahl at the Trinity Lutheran parsonage in Dawson.  They had two children: Sharron and Rick.  They made their home in Dawson.  Jeanette worked at the V Store, Paffrath Hardware, the American Legion and as the manager of the V.F.W. Club.  She retired in 1983 and they moved to Maple Lake in 1989.  Carl died in 1992 and Jeanette continued to live at the lake.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening, baking, embroidering and socializing with friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharron (Curt) Bystol; daughter-in-law, Kathie Jordahl; five grandchildren: Kristi (Bruce) Redfield, Julie (Mitch) Critz, Beth (Josh) Bohlen, Stacy (Scott) Turley, Ryan (Julie) Jordahl; twelve great-grandchildren: Melanie, Jessica, Mikayla, Nathan, Kaitlyn, Logan, Morgan, Abbi, Blake, Cole, Molly, Matthew, and Lucy; five great-great-grandchildren: Madysen, Mackenzie, Kennedy, Ashton, and Jameson; a sister, Evelyn Martinson; a brother-in-law, Phillip (Blanche) Jordahl; a sister-in-law, Alice Johnson; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Carl; a son, Rick Jordahl; a grandson, Scott Bystol; a great-grandson, John Turley; a sister, Donna Moseng; and three brothers: Ellsworth, Glen, and Emmett Moseng.
