Pearl Olson, formerly of Dawson, died Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Rice Care Center in Willmar at the age of 91.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 10:30 AM at First Presbyterian Church in Dawson.  Pastor Herbert Rotunda will officiate and interment will be at Dawson Cemetery.

Visitation will be held for one hour before the services at the church.  Arrangements are with Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson.

Pearl Mae Olson was born April 1, 1926 in Ten Mile Lake Township near Boyd, MN the daughter of George and Karen (Stensvold) Olson.  She attended country school in Dist. 90 and Dist. 68.  She worked as a waitress and a telephone operator.  Pearl was united in marriage with Lloyd Olson January 20, 1951 in Madison, MN.  They lived in Madison for a short time before moving to Dawson.  After her children were older she enjoyed being a florist for Snortum’s Flower Shop.  She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking and making lefse.  Pearl collected dolls and enjoyed playing Yatzee with her grandchildren.  Pearl loved spending time visiting and spending time with her dear friends and family.  She cherished the 66 years she spent with her friend and husband, Lloyd.  They moved to Spicer in 2011.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd; three children: Jerome “Butch” (Linda) Olson of Dawson, MN, David (Debbie) Olson of Lino Lakes, MN, and Karen (Jeffrey) Bergman of Spicer, MN; eight grandchildren: Kenneth Olson, Matthew (Ron Knott) Olson, Stephanie (Mike) Olson, Adam (Vicky) Skotterud, Jenna (Mark Dahmes) Bergman, Chris (Danielle) Bandholz, Andrea (Bryon) Dilbeck, and Brady (fiancé Sara) Olson; seven great-grandchildren: Ysabel Castaneda, Makenna Denzel-Olson, Sidney Pearl Olson, Kaden Lloyd Olson, Emelia Bandholz, Gustav Bandholz, and Brea Dilbeck; sister-in-law, Rosie Olson of Dawson, MN; and a good friend, Nancy Fjerkenstad of Palm Springs, CA.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and two brothers: Milo Olson and Gene (Anita) Olson.
