Charles Ripley

Charles Ripley passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at his home in Golden Valley, MN.  

A graveside committal ceremony will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024 at the Dawson Cemetery.

Charles Reuben Ripley was born in Dawson, Minnesota on March 9, 1953.  He was the youngest child of parents Eldon and Hattie Ripley.  Charles was well known in the Prader-Wille community and was the oldest person in Minnesota and the United States living with Prader-Wille Syndrome.  Charles enjoyed participating in events in his community and also enjoyed reading, walking and biking in his neighborhood.  He was lovingly cared for by the staff at his home at AME Lilac in Golden Valley.   

He is survived by five siblings, Marjorie Lindquist, Verla Eilers, Joan Lindquist, Jeffery Ripley and Milo Ripley.  He is also survived by his dear friend, Missy.

Preceding him in death were his parents and six siblings: Lester Ripley, Edgar Ripley, Wayne Ripley, Viola Piccinino, Charlotte Otteson, and Arlys Burks.
