Gladys Swenson, of Minneapolis, passed away June 8th, 2017 at Ebenezer Care Center in Minneapolis at the age of 101.
Graveside services and fellowship will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Providence Valley Lutheran Cemetery, rural Dawson.
Gladys Bernice Swenson was born January 30, 1916 in Yellow Medicine County the daughter of Frans and Alma (Anderson) Swenson. She attended St. Cloud Teacher's College and taught for 8 years in country school. Gladys moved to Minneapolis during WW II and worked at Honeywell for 34 years.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Doris Ross, Rolf Stoylen, David Stoylen, Eldon Swenson, Lois Stratmoen, Roger Swenson, Paul Swenson, Harvey Swenson, JoAnn Salmela, and Marvel Sandbakken.
Preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers: Raymond, Alvin and Ardel Swenson; three sisters: Everel Jordan, Doris Soylen, and Ethel Swenson; and one niece, Barbara Holcomb.
