Mary DeSoto

Mary DeSoto died Sunday, February 25 , 2018 at her home in Dawson at the age of 63.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson with Rev. Kendall Stelter officiating.  Burial will be in Grace Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 5-7 PM at Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson with a prayer service at 7 PM.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church.

Mary Margaret DeSoto was born in Minneapolis, MN on October 19, 1954 to Vernon and Margaret S. (Kvam) Pearson.  She attended school in Dawson and graduated from Dawson Boyd High School in 1973.  She was united in marriage to Roger DeSoto on May 17, 1975 at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson.  They had two children: Sarah and Maria.

Mary enjoyed spending time with her children and her grandchildren.   She also loved all her pets very much.  Mary also enjoyed crafts of all kinds.

Mary is survived by her husband, Roger; her children: Sarah DeSoto of Dawson and Maria (Alex Luhman) DeSoto of Montevideo; seven grandchildren: Martin, Savannah, Autumn, Josephine, David, Asenath and Alexander; and a sister, Elizabeth (Jeff) Storlien of Dawson; as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Margaret Pearson.
