Sue (Stangeland) Moen

Sue Moen died Sunday, October 22, 2017 at her home near Boyd, MN at the age of 62.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd. Rev. Lori Wold will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson and at the church for one hour before the service.

Suzanne Marie (Stangeland) Moen was born on September 4, 1955 in Dawson, MN to Jerry and Arlene (Luschen) Stangeland. She was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson. Sue attended Dawson - Boyd High School and graduated in 1973.  She worked for Tri-Line Elevator in Boyd and then in Clarkfield.   She attended Alexandria Vo-Tech and Minnesota West in Granite Falls.  She was self-employed as a consultant for Minnesota West Technical College Customized Training Program  On July 12, 1975, Sue was united in marriage to Lon Moen at Grace Lutheran Church and they made their home in Boyd.

Sue was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, and attending many church activities and other benefits.

Sue is survived by her husband, Lon; children: Joshua (Shelby Monahan), Boyd and Zackary (Ashley), Boyd; brothers: Mike (Donna Skallerud), Madison, SD, Larry (Carol), Clear Lake, SD, Chuck, Jacksonville, FL, and Bob (Peggy Harms), Dawson; four grandchildren: Austin, Macy, Addisyn, and Lexy; and two grandchildren on the way.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Brad Stangeland.
