Genevieve Aletha Meyer was born on November 1, 1929 in Galva, IA to Merritt and May (Walters) Lundberg.  Genevieve graduated from Galva High School in 1947.  She was united in marriage to Roy Meyer on November 21, 1948 in Galva, IA.  Gen and her husband farmed near Galva, IA, and Echo, MN before moving to farms near Montevideo in 1963.  Gen loved the farm life, helping with farming and driving tractors as needed.  They were members of Jevnaker Lutheran Church.  After Roy’s death in 2005, Gen moved into Montevideo and began attending Our Savior's Lutheran Church.  Gen moved to Sartell, MN in 2016.

Gen loved gardening, spending many hours in her flower gardens.  She also loved playing cards, fishing, traveling with Roy, and spending time with family. The grandchildren have many fond memories of spending time on the farm with their grandparents.  Upon retirement, they spent their winters in Mission, TX.  After the children left home, Gen’s passion was quilting.  She made 100+ quilts, which the family felt blessed to receive.  Each quilt was a labor of love to her family.  Gen was a member of the Flying Geese Quilt Club of Montevideo.  She loved going to local, state, and national quilt shows, quilt retreats, and sewing quilts at church.

Gen is survived by her five children: Dennis (Pat) Meyer of Venice, FL, Janette Rondeau of Donna, TX, Rodney Meyer of Ashby, MN, Karen (Don) Ondracek of St Cloud, MN and Gary (Julie) Meyer of Montevideo, MN.  She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; seven siblings; son-in-law, Steve Rondeau; daughter-in-law, Janet Meyer; and a great-granddaughter, Lauren Meyer.

The family thanks the Pastor and Deacons of First Presbyterian Church of St Cloud for all their visits and support of our mother.
