Huntleigh Peterson Obituary

Huntleigh Faye Peterson passed away, Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center.

A PRIVATE FAMILY FUNERAL honoring Huntleigh Faye Peterson will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Lac qui Parle Lutheran Church in Dawson, Minnesota. Interment will be in the Lac qui Parle Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Huntleigh Faye Peterson, beloved daughter of Quintin and Kristen (Nelson) Peterson was born sleeping on February 4, 2020 at Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center. She was baptized the same day by Pastor Bruce Bringle.

Huntleigh was the perfect baby girl: 7-pounds 9.6-ounces, 20-inches long. She had her mothers’ nose and fuzzy red hair and her fathers’ long fingers and toes. She spent her time in the hospital cuddling with her parents and close family.

Quintin and Kristen experienced many trips and unforgettable moments with Huntleigh while she was in the womb. As a family, they explored the beautiful wonders of this world, just like Huntleigh. Huntleigh joined her mom and dad on a fishing trip near Ely MN, walked across the beautiful great plains of South Dakota chasing antelope, back pack camped on Black Elk Peak in the Black Hills of South Dakota, gardened, went canoeing, and camping with family. She went bowhunting with her parents around home, shot two dandy bucks with Kristen, took many walks down the road with her parents to watch sunsets, won an ice fishing tournament and went on several ice fishing trips.

Huntleigh is survived by her parents, Quintin and Kristen (Nelson) Peterson; Grandparents; Jeffery and Dawn (Krugerud) Peterson, Kenton and Rebecca (Brown) Nelson, Great Grandparents: Eldred and Francis (Haukos) Peterson, Gary and Sharon (Beyer) Nelson, Lynn and Joan (Ebnet) Brown, Great Great Grandma Doris Beyer; Aunts and Uncles: Corrine (Peterson) Denzer, Joseph and Tristin (Peterson) Bothun, Lucas and Alicia (Schmiesing) Peterson, Bradley and Tevin (Dekle) Nelson, Katie Nelson, and numerous cousins and extended family.

Huntleigh is preceded in death by her cousin Landon Bothun.
