Kim Quenemoen Obituary

Kim Quenemoen, of Montevideo, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, surrounded by her family, at the age of 62.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Joseph in Montevideo with interment following at Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens, rural Montevideo.

Visitation will be held at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo on Tuesday from 5-7:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:45 PM.  There will also be a visitation at the church for one hour before the service.

Kimberly Kay (Rhode) Quenemoen was born July 8, 1960 in Montevideo, MN, the daughter of Dennis and Kay (Rosen) Rhode.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. Clara's Catholic Church in Clara City.  Kim graduated from Montevideo High School in 1978.  She worked at Sibley Elementary school for a few years and at Luther Haven Nursing Home for many years.  Kim was united in marriage with Lane Quenemoen July 18, 1997, in Watertown, SD.  She was diagnosed with MS in 1996, which ultimately led to her becoming a resident of Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo.  Kim enjoyed going to the lake, collecting angels and bears, camping, and stock car racing.  She loved to watch the MN Vikings, Twins, and Wild.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Lane; her children: Tim (Amy) Rhode of Granite Falls, Jenny (Tim Mock) Rhode of Humboldt, SD, Matt Rhode of Granite Falls, and Ashley (Kevin) Schorn of Montevideo; nine grandchildren: Kelsey, Brady, Bryan, Ariana, Collin, Gabriella, Briella, Braxton, and Brooklyn; one sister: Karen (Randy) Buseman of Alexandria; three brothers: Kevin (Julie) Rhode of Montevideo, Ken (Deb) Rhode of Montevideo, and Kurt Rhode of Montevideo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents: Kay and Dennis Rhode and her grandparents; Clarence and Hazel Rosen and Arthur and Lillian Rhode.
